Date Range Filters
Control exactly when you're available for appointments by setting up date range filters. This feature helps you avoid notifications for dates when you can't attend appointments.
How Date Range Filters Work
Default Behavior
- No filters set: You'll receive notifications for appointments on any available date
- With filters set: You'll only get notifications for appointments within your specified date ranges
Standard Service Feature
Date range filters are only available to Standard service users. Trial users can set date ranges in the interface, but these filters will not be applied until they upgrade to Standard service.
Setting Up Date Ranges
Adding Date Ranges
- Go to your Dashboard
- In the "Appointment Dates" section, click "Add" or "Edit"
- Click "Add Date Range" to create a new range
- Select your start and end dates
- Add multiple ranges as needed
- Click "Save Changes"
Multiple Date Ranges
You can add multiple separate date ranges for maximum flexibility:
Example scenarios:
- Vacation availability: March 15-22 and April 10-17
- Work schedule gaps: December 20-30 and January 15-25
- Seasonal preference: June through August for summer appointments
Date Range Format
- Single day: March 15 (displayed as "3/15")
- Range: March 15-22 (displayed as "3/15-3/22")
- Multiple ranges: Each range appears as a separate item
Same-Day Block Feature
What It Does
The "Same-Day Block" feature filters out appointments scheduled for today, focusing only on future dates.
Why Use Same-Day Block
Problems it solves:
- Some locations release appointments just 4 hours in advance throughout the day, every 10 minutes, creating frequent notifications for appointments you likely can't make on short notice
- If you're unable to leave work or travel without scheduling ahead of time, same-day appointments aren't practical
Solution: Enable same-day blocking to only receive notifications for appointments scheduled "tomorrow" or later.
How It Works
- Automatic filtering: Blocks notifications for appointments on the current date at the location
- Tomorrow and beyond: You'll still get notified for all future dates (within your date ranges if set)
Enabling Same-Day Block
- Open the Date Range editor
- Check the box for "Ignore same-day appointments"
- Save your changes
- You'll see a "Same-day" badge in your filter summary
Strategic Usage
For Busy Professionals
- Work week availability: Set ranges around vacation days and weekends
- Advance notice preference: Use same-day block to ensure adequate planning time
- Seasonal planning: Block out busy work periods months in advance
For Flexible Schedules
- Open availability: Leave date ranges empty to monitor all dates
- Last-minute filtering: Use only same-day block for maximum opportunity with reasonable notice
- Travel planning: Set specific ranges around planned trips
For Long-Term Planning
- Future availability: Set ranges 3-6 months out when you know your schedule
- Rolling updates: Regularly update ranges as your schedule changes
- Seasonal patterns: Set consistent seasonal availability year over year
Understanding the Display
Filter Summary
Your dashboard shows your current date filter status:
- "Monitoring all dates": No custom ranges set
- Date ranges listed: Shows your active ranges (e.g., "3/15-3/22, 4/10-4/17")
- "Same-day" badge: Indicates same-day blocking is enabled
Warning Indicators
- No future dates warning: If your date ranges are all in the past, you'll see a warning that no future dates are being monitored
Date Range Best Practices
Setting Effective Ranges
- Be realistic: Only set dates when you can actually attend appointments
- Plan ahead: Consider travel time, work schedules, and personal commitments
- Leave buffer time: Don't set ranges too close to busy periods
Maintenance
- Regular updates: Review and update ranges monthly or seasonally
- Remove past dates: Clean up expired ranges (though the system ignores past dates automatically)
- Coordinate with location selection: Ensure your date ranges work with your selected locations' typical availability
Combining with Other Filters
- Location diversity: Use date ranges with multiple locations for maximum coverage
- Time filters: Combine with time ranges for precise availability control
- Same-day strategy: Consider your typical booking timeline when deciding on same-day blocking
- Quiet hours: Set up notification timing preferences to complement your date filtering
Changes to date ranges are logged in your notice history for reference.
Date range filters give you precise control over when you're notified about appointments, helping you focus on opportunities that fit your schedule while reducing notification noise for unavailable dates.
